Adam Goldberg cannot be ignored when mentioning Don Ressler. This is because they have been working in close collaboration since they came together to establish Alena Media. They teamed-up after Ressler sold Fitness Heaven.Com to Intermix Media whereby Adam Goldberg served as its Chief Operating Officer. When News Corp acquired Intermix in 2005, the partners realized that the media corporation had neglected the potential of the e-commerce and performance advertising business, which previously generated millions in terms of revenue for Intermix. This triggered their move from the new entity in a bid to explore other opportunities.

Intelligent Beauty

This idea sprang up after realizing the significant potential possessed the online performance advertising business. Consequently, they established Intelligent Beauty as a brand building entity, which they could operate autonomously. To aid them in executing the idea, Ressler acquired help from a selection of former Alena’s team members.

DERMSTORE, an online cosmetics and skincare marketplace was the first business under Intelligent Beauty on Zimbio. SENSA, a weight-loss system, followed suit as the second venture after two years. This venture drew other potential experts such as Brett Brewer, Intermix founder, and Dr. Alan Hirsch to serve as the Chief Executive Officer and head of product development consecutively.

JustFab
